Sun recently introduced their Amber Road storage systems which act like a storage appliance with a Web-Interface for configuration and analytics. Due to the power of DTrace combined with an AJAX web-inerface, you have the ability to really see what's going on. Brendan Gregg, the engineer who's famous for screaming at his storage systems, recently published a new blog posting giving some insights on the heat maps created by these systems. But Sun engineers won't be Sun engineers if they don't have weird ideas. So what about sending text messages to the analytics software? - Scroll to the bottom of Brendan's blog to see what I mean.

While browsing through the net I often find pages I like to share, but well, I don't want to spent time writing a blog article neither do I like putting the link without comment in this blog. Therefore I've created a small tool which helps me with publishing links to my new Link-Blog with a single click from my web browser. On that page you'll find any kind of stuff - I guess most of the content will be German.

So why did I create my own system instead of using del.icio.us or some service like that? - Well there are two reasons: a) It's my system and I have full control and b) in future I'll add some code which will automatically extract teasers from the linked page and add these to the list - like I already did for YouTube videos.

I had no YouTube video on this site, for a long time, maybe even for a too long time. But great stuff is here:

TV Links is a site collecting links episodes of quite a few episodes from TV series hosted on dailymotion, youtube and other video sites. after tvlinks.50webs.com and tvlinks.voodeedoo.org it finally got it's own domain, and I hope they keep their name, http://www.tv-links.co.uk/ for some while, it's a great site to watch TV series independent from TV schedules and, for me being located in Germany, a good way to get the original versions without German synchronisation.

Once again a youtube video, and yes it's oooold....

The Simpons are getting there own movie which will be releases at July 2007, meanwhile there's a trailer. I hope the guys around Matt Groening do good work - 23 minutes have been a good length for Simpson episodes....
