Wolfram|Alpha is a nice technology, unfortunately it is missing lots of possible knowledge so it can't compete with offerings like Wikipedia in most cases. But it still has some interesting facts. Did you ever wonder how far God is away from Earth?- 5600 kilometers!

It's just five days since the fire fighters were next doors but they miss this street already - this time they are just across the street.

... it was time for the regular spring fire again. But for the first time the fire was in the next part of the apartment complex I'm living in, and looks like just the balcony was on fire. The fire fighters spent less than 10 minutes here - I guess they meanwhile know the building ....

Bundeswirtschaftsminister zu Guttenberg ist betroffen und da muss ich ihn unterstützen. In einem Statement in der Tagesschau stellt er fest, dass es betroffen macht "wenn pauschal der Eindruck entstehen sollte, dass es Menschen gibt, die sich gegen die Sperrung von kinderpornographischen Inhalten sträuben" - ein solcher Eindruck wäre in der Tat fatal. Die eingereichte Petition wendet sich nicht gegen die Bekämpfung der Kinderpornographie sondern gegen den Einsatz von Mitteln, die zum einen nur Symptome und nicht die Ursachen bekämpfen und zum anderen einer Bundesbehörde, ohne Gerichtsvorbehalt, ein Werkzeug in die Hand geben den Zugriff auf (beliebige) Inhalte merklich zu erschweren.

As others wrote, or as you can read on php.net or in my twitter feed we've released the second, long awaited, release candidate of PHP 5.3.0.

5.3 is  rather big release including support for namespaces, closures, phar archives, internatioalization support via the new intl extension, improved SQLite support, mysqlnd as backend for the MySQL exensions, impressive performance improvements, ... and tons of other bigger and minor things.

Even though this server is running 5.3 already it's not suggested to be used in production evironments, yet but I'd really like to encourage everybody to test it and give feedback! I'm also interested in positive feedback, not only bug reports to support my good feeling about this release
